The University of Vermont is conducting a study in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan, “Developing and Integrating a Social Water Use Model,” funded by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Their goal is to create a coupled natural and human systems (CNHS) model that captures decision-making dynamics at the community and sector levels, helping to forecast and plan for water use under changing climate conditions.
We are seeking inputs from professionals to help us identify current water management strategies and challenges, including climate-related threats, and adaptive strategies for the short, medium, and long term. This process will provide the basis for the development of a coupled natural and human systems model that will improve the predictive capacity of water resource models to account for water uses and sector trade-offs in the face of climate change.
The survey is a quick 15 minute survey. Please click the button below to access the survey poster.
