Virtual Classroom - Instructor Led

Class Format

Virtual classes are offered in real-time with a live instructor. When you are part of a virtual class, your instructor is able to provide the interactive classroom experience from your own computer. You can participate in discussions, test your knowledge and ask questions, just like in a regular classroom. These classes run similarly to a live class and are a great option for those people interested in completing their training in a typical timeframe.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

Evaluate physical characteristics of a waste stream including colour, flow, odour, temperature, etc.;
Perform security, safety and administrative procedures involving chemical hazards, personal protective equipment, general health and safety procedures and emergency preparedness;
Evaluate and maintain related equipment, including preventative and corrective maintenance and equipment evaluation;
Operate equipment including hydraulics, pumps, valves, etc.;
Analyze how domestic water systems impact wastewater treatment; and
Apply the metric system, measurements and solving equations to wastewater operations.
