Class Format

Virtual classes are offered in real time with a live instructor. When you are part of a virtual class, your instructor is able to provide the interactive classroom experience from your own computer. You can participate in discussions, test your knowledge and ask questions, just like in a regular classroom. These classes run similarly to a live class and are a great option for those people interested in completing their training in a typical timeframe.

Learning Objectives 

After completing this course, you will be able to: 

  • Describe the conditions where odor and corrosion can occur in a wastewater collection system.
  • Analyze and determine corrective strategies to minimize or eliminate odors generate within a wastewater collection system;
  • Assess levels of corrosion within the wastewater collection system;
  • Perform the necessary procedures to control/minimize/eliminate odor and/or corrosion problems within wastewater lift stations.

Who Should Attend 

You should take this course if you:

  • are responsible for maintenance of water and wastewater utility systems including plant operations;

  • are supervisors & managers of utility systems.

  • are responsible for pump stations and related infrastructure;

All attendees must have their own computer with audio and video capabilities to participate.
