Description
This one-day workshop will help operators understand basic water chemistry, public health and DBPs, disinfection as well as water chemistry in terms of, coagulation and chemistry in the distribution systems. Implications for both the potable and wastewater side of the industry will be discussed. Wastewater chemistry in terms of treatment and discharge and understanding of laboratory analysis will be included.
This workshop will be presented by Bob McAlpine B.Sc. P.Biol. President of WQ Consulting Services Ltd. Bob McAlpine has worked as a Water Quality Specialist since 1982 in industry, federal and provincial governments and as a Consultant in the UK, and Western Canada. Bob has a diverse background ranging from working as a water quality specialist and aquatic biologist, to working as a Senior Scientist for Thames Water Utilities in the UK. When working with Thames Water Utilities Bob was a NAMAS accredited auditor, Water Scientist and Technical Advisor at Farmoor near Oxford. No refunds or cancellations after Monday, April 1st, 2019.

In the event of attendee no show, refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend after having Registered for any workshop - please let us know before the Monday, April 1st, 2019 deadline. Otherwise you will still be responsible to pay for the full amount of the course.
Participants in this workshop are eligible for 0.6 CEUs under the Manitoba Operator Certification program.
Course fee includes lunch, refreshments and course materials.
