    Hi there,

I am looking for information on greensand filters.

If you use them, where did you get them(supplier)?

How often do you inspect them?

    Cost of each filter?

If you have encountered issues, what are they?

    Green sand filters & suppliers,

Hi, I've been involved with a number of Green sand filters and find them to be quite effective on most types of water.

As for the three types of water I've dealt with, I've had to work with what the engineers assigned us as do most of us.

I've worked with surface water, ground water under the influence and ground water (artisan).

The company I work for sources the material that is required for each project that has been mandated by the engineers for that particular project.

The inspection of the filter itself is best done by careful and diligent daily readings.

Any change in permeate quality will indicate a problem with either raw water quality, chemical requirements or media problems.

Diligence is the best way to keep a green sand filter operating at peak efficiency.

The issues with green sand filters are as many and varied as we allow them to be. But with the support of the facilities owners the cost and quality of our product can be kept at a bare minimum.

The cost of a green sand array is again varied and comes down to a question of do I want to walk or ride.
