Learning Objectives

Gain the knowledge to confidently operate and maintain vertical turbine pumps. This training covers pump operation, key components, materials, performance curves, industry standards, and practical troubleshooting.

Ideal for operators, maintenance staff, and supervisors, this course helps improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.

Agenda

  • Purpose and operation of vertical pumps
  • Identify the primary components and materials of construction
  • Define manufacturers standard construction
  • Understanding the vertical turbine curves (will include catalog review)
  • Testing standards
  • Troubleshooting common issues

Instructor:  David Stover, Xylem

David Stover is an accomplished sales, market development, and technical training professional with more than two decades of experience in the industrial pump and water technology industries. He currently serves as Technical Training Manager for Xylem, where he leads technical and product training initiatives across North America, supporting product launches and educating sales, operations, and service teams on industrial market solutions.
