Learning Objectives

Water sources are threatened on a global scale. The cost of water treatment continues to escalate, and new challenges must be overcome with the investment in new technologies and new processes. In the ongoing pursuit of sustainability, we must commit resources to effective water conservation initiatives to protect and control this vital commodity. While creative conservation programs to reduce consumption are becoming more common, it is equally important to examine and control the loss of treated water through failing infrastructure.
