Virtual Classroom - Instructor Led

This course will be presented by our training partner BCWWA

March 26, 2024  10:00 am – 6:00 pm. (CDT)

CEU Credits: 0.6

You can participate in discussions, test your knowledge and ask questions, just like in a regular classroom. These classes run similarly to a live class and are a great option for those people interested in completing their training in a typical timeframe.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify electrical motor control systems, review motor types and their components
  • Describe pump types used in the water and wastewater industry and their make-up.
  • Understand liquid level controls
  • Analyze pumping hydraulics under both static and dynamic conditions
  • Interpret pumping curves
  • Perform pump hydraulic calculations such as break horsepower and wire -to-water efficiencies
  • Apply pump affinity laws to determine the changing effects of RPM to hydraulic characteristic

Who Should Attend

You should take this course if you:

  • are responsible for maintenance of water and wastewater utility systems including plant operations;
  • are responsible for pump stations and related infrastructure;
  • are supervisors & managers of utility systems.

All attendees must have their own computer with audio and video capabilities to participate.
