Water Distribution Maintenance

This course will be presented in a single morning session on April 23, 2021, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.

CEU Credits: 0.3

Course Description: The workshop looks at water quality requirements for water entering storage reservoirs and distribution systems, as well as the requirements at the most distant sections of the distribution system. The effects of the system on water quality degradation and customer response are discussed. Descriptions and maintenance of major system components are presented. These components include pumps, motors, controls, storage reservoirs and water mains. The options regarding pipeline preventative maintenance are also presented.

This workshop will be presented by Northern Lakes College online, using Moodle and Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

All attendees must have their own computer with audio and video capabilities to participate.
