Course Outline:
This course will go over AWWA gate valves design, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. We will also introduce the three types of hydrant designs and show the common makes, models and parts of hydrants in western Canada to help identify what may be in a distribution system already. Then we will focus on establishing a proper hydrant and valve maintenance program.
