Service Line Applications and Tapping Workshop
Agenda:
8.30AM – 9.00AM Brass Industry Changes RED Brass to NO Lead Brass
9.00AM - 9.30AM Connection Types – Flare, Compression, Pac Joint, Instatite
9.30AM – 10.15AM Corporation Stops and Curb Valves
10.15AM – 10.30AM Coffee
10.30AM – 11.00AM Couplings, Adapters, Service Saddles and Service Boxes
11.00AM – 12.00PM Direct Tapping into the water main using the Mueller B101tapping machine. This will outline the machine, it’s function, and maintenance followed by a demonstration.
12.00PM – 1:00PM Lunch
1.00PM – 1.03PM Drilling Machines. Drilling through a service saddle using a D5, E5, Mega Cut, Tru Cut and PL2.
1.30PM - 2.00PM Large Diameter Tapping using CL 12 Machine, C1-36 and Mega –Lite Machines.
2.30PM – 4.30PM Each participant will be required to direct tap a water main using a B101 Machine. Dress according. We will as a group drill a service using a E5 or PL2 live through a service saddle.
Participants in this workshop are eligible for 0.6 CEUS under the Manitoba Operator Certification program.
No refunds or cancellations after August 23rd, 2019. Please ensure that payment for the workshop has been received by the MWWA office before Friday, August 30th.

In the event of attendee no show, refunds will not be issued.
Substitutions will be permitted.
Attendees will be considered registered only when payment has been received.
