COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course uses learning techniques developed to maximize delegate participation, including workshops designed to broaden the knowledge of safety system, roles and responsibilities. This course is designed for those who will be managing, supervising and directing a company’s health and safety program and its employees. Measuring, Maintaining and Developing OH&S management systems are required skills of the supervisor. In this course you will learn how various OH&S tools and elements reduce risk through a systems approach that maintains focus on OH&S program effectiveness and loss control.

Duties of Supervisors
4.1 Every supervisor shall
(a) so far as is reasonably practicable, (i) take all precautions necessary to protect the safety and health of a worker under his or her supervision,
(ii) ensure that a worker under his or her supervision works in the manner and in accordance with the procedures and measures required by this Act and the regulations, and
(iii) ensure that a worker under his or her supervision uses all devices and wears all clothing and personal protective equipment designated or provided by the employer or required to be used or worn by this Act or the regulations;
(b) advise a worker under his or her supervision of all known or reasonably foreseeable risks to safety and health in the area where the worker is performing work;

In the event of attendee no show, refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend after having Registered for any workshop - please let us know before the November 2nd deadline. Otherwise you will still be responsible to pay for the full amount of the course.
Substitutions are not permitted.
Participants in this workshop are eligible for 0.6 CEUs under the Manitoba Operator Certification program.
