Title: Chemical Safety
This one-day course will provide information about WHMIS, personal protective equipment, identification, storage and handling of the most common water treatment chemicals.
What will be covered?
• The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
• Types of personal protective equipment to be used for safe chemical handling
• Properties of the most common water treatment chemicals
• Potential hazards of chemicals
• Chemical handling and storage requirements
• Procedures for handling chemical spillsNo refunds or cancellations after October 31st, 2017. Please ensure that payment for the workshop has been received by the MWWA office by Friday, November 3rd, 2017.
Participants in this workshop are eligible for 0.7 CEUs under the Manitoba Operator Certification program.
Course fee includes lunch, refreshments and course materials.
