Is your Certification coming up for Renewal?

1)  Effective January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2012 Operators in Manitoba will require between 0.3 to 1.2 CEU for certificate renewal.  The following CEU requirement is proposed:

Class 3 and Class 4 - 1.2 CEUs;    Class 1 and Class 2 - 0.6 CEUs;    Small System - 0.3 CEUs

Effective January 1, 2013 Operators in Manitoba will require between 1.5 and 6.0 CEUs for certificate renewal every 5 year renewal period.  The following CEU requirement is proposed:

Class 3 and Class 4 - 6.0 CEU;   Class 1 and Class 2 - 3.5 CEUs;    Small System - 1.5

Also effective January 1, 2012 - ABC will no longer be updating the mutliple-entry examinations, so they will no longer be available.  After this time the sequential standardized examinations will be offered.  This means that an Operator who wants to be certfied for Class 4 must write and pass the Class 1 to Class 3 exams first before he/she is allowed to write Class 4.

2)  How much time should you allow to apply for renewal prior to the expiry date? You should submit an application at least 2 months before the expiry date to give MB Conservation time to process the new certificate before the old one expires.
3)      Should you fill out all of the same forms?  A renewal form has been developed, and is available on the MB Conservations website at:  http://www.gov.mb.ca/conservation/eal/certification/opcert_renewal.pdf

4)      Will the fee remain the same?   The fee for renewal is $75.00
