DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITIES
The Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie is looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Director of Public Works & Utilities.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position is an integral part of the management team and has responsibility for hands on leadership of all aspects of Public Works services and infrastructure maintenance, including staff management, budgeting, roads, drainage, engineering and water and sewer. The ideal candidate should possess a Professional Engineering Status in the Province of Manitoba and a minimum of 3 years management experience in some related aspect of civil engineering, budget control, and personnel management, within a municipal government setting. Superior leadership, interpersonal and communications skills are essential as the individual in this role is accountable for advising Council and the CAO on priorities with respect to Public Works operations.
